Refund Policy

Every account gets a free trial of 20 minutes of transcription, with translation, summaries and exports included, so you can check the quality on your own recordings before buying anything. Nothing is charged for the trial.

If you buy audio hours (pay as you go) or a monthly plan and change your mind, you can ask for a refund of the hours you haven’t used within 14 days of the purchase. We refund the unused hours at the price you paid per hour.

Hours already used to transcribe recordings can’t be refunded, because the processing has been done and paid for on our side.

A Study Pass ($39 for the AI tools in one study, for 12 months) is refundable in full within 14 days of the purchase. Once refunded, the AI tools in that study go back to the free tries; everything you made with them stays yours.

If a transcription fails or is cancelled, the minutes that weren’t transcribed are not counted against your hours — this happens automatically. If a part of a recording could not be transcribed, only the part that was transcribed counts.

If you believe you were charged in error, or the service didn’t work as described, contact us and we’ll put it right, including outside the 14 days.

Monthly plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Account page (Your hours → Receipts, card and cancelling). The plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for and doesn’t renew after that. The 14-day refund of unused hours applies to each monthly payment.

Email support@researchite.com from the email address of your Researchite account, with the date of the purchase. Approved refunds go back to the card or payment method you used, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

Paid in birr with Telebirr: the same rules apply. Include the Telebirr transaction number, and approved refunds are sent back in birr to the Telebirr number you paid from, usually within 3 business days. A month paid with Telebirr doesn’t renew, so there is nothing to cancel.

This policy doesn’t limit any rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

Researchite is run by Tesfahun Mulatu Wachamo, as a sole proprietor. Card and other online payments are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for those orders: Paddle takes the payment, issues the receipt, and handles refunds and returns. You can also ask Paddle directly, through the link in your receipt email. Payments in birr with Telebirr are made to Tesfahun Mulatu Wachamo directly, not through Paddle.
